　Leaf springs have a simple structure consisting of one to several stacked leaf plates. In addition to supporting the weight of the vehicle body, leaf springs also serve as links in suspension systems and play a role in positioning the vehicle body and tires.
This system is expected to continue to be used in the future because of its simplicity and strength, as well as its economical advantages. Horikiri designs and manufactures tapered leaf springs such as "TAFLEX^®" that are lightweight and have a long service life, using taper processing technology that continuously changes the thickness of the leaf over almost its entire length and processing heat treatment to increase its strength.

●Stabilinker

　A plate arm with tapered rolling on both sides and a bar or pipe with upset forging on both ends of round steel or steel tube are welded together to form a single unit. As a component of the air suspension system, it can save space because it has both a lower rod function for positioning the axle and a Stabilizer function for restraining body lean (roll) during cornering.
　Horikiri is the only manufacturer in Japan that produces Stabilizers.

　This spring is made of round steel formed into a U-shape to suppress body lean (roll) that occurs when cornering or changing lanes, thereby improving maneuvering Stability.

Taper Leaf Spring
（Single Characteristic）

This is the most basic taper leaf spring, mainly used in front suspensions. Horikiri manufactures taper leaf springs with different plate widths, lengths, and number of layers for both large and small vehicles.

（Two-stage Characteristics）

Taper leaf springs are used in the rear suspension of cargo trucks and other vehicles. When the force applied to the spring is less than a certain force, only the lower long leaf spring (main leaf) acts, and when the force exceeds a certain force, the upper short leaf spring (helper leaf) also acts, changing the spring characteristics to support the vehicle firmly while taking ride comfort into consideration.

（For Trunnion Suspension）

Tapered leaf springs are used in trunnion-type suspensions with two rear axles, such as dump trucks. The spring is mounted so that it can rotate like a seesaw with the center of the spring as the fulcrum, and both ends support the front and rear axles. When one shaft is lifted up on an uneven road, the motion of the seesaw pushes the other shaft down, transmitting the ground load to the road surface and ensuring the transmission of driving force.

It is used in the front suspension of trucks traveling on good roads. In order to pursue weight reduction by reducing the number of leafs, this leaf spring consists of a single leaf and a thin half-leaf, mainly for fail-safe purposes, manufactured using Horikiri's high-strength technology by processing and heat treatment.
The combination of a single leaf and a half-leaf is called a 1.5-leaf.

（Multi-segment Characteristics）

Taper leaf springs are used in the front suspension of construction and special purpose vehicles. When the force applied to the spring increases, the main leaf deflects and makes contact with the helper leaf, which changes the spring characteristics. The gap between the main leaf and the helper leaf has a great influence on the spring characteristics. Horikiri can manufacture and control the shape of each leaf with high precision.

These Stabilizers are used as one component of air suspension systems for cargo trucks and other vehicles. Stabilizers made by HORIKIRI are widely used in Japan and overseas, both in the front and rear.

Stabilizers are used as a component of suspension systems for buses and trucks. Horikiri can manufacture Stabilizers with material diameters ranging from 30 mm to 72 mm.
